Hello,
I have my Canon MX860 printer connected hardwire via LAN to my wireless router. I am able to access the printer wirelessly from my windows 7 laptop. However I am unable to add the printer from my android phone which is connected to the same wifi network. The printer does not show up on available devices, and when I try searching for it by IP address it cannot find the printer. I've also tried downloading the various CANON apps that exist on the google play store, with no luck. Any ideas on a solution, other than switching to WLAN on the printer (I prefer the hardwired LAN connnection straight to the router).
Thanks,
DW

Hi dlw5007,
Please make sure that your phone is connected to the same network as your PIXMA MX860. Once the phone is connected to the same network, you will be able to enter the printer's IP address in a web browser on your phone and access the remote user interface of the printer, which verifies communication.
