Canon Quick Menu won't open

I am having a problem with the Canon Quick Menu not opening (no errors or anything).  I use it to change the settings for scanning mostly.  The scan screen on the printer works, but I don't see any place on the printer to change the scan settings.  I tried reinstalling Quick Menu and running as Administrator, but that did not help.  I tried searching on here, but did not come up with anything useful.  I am using Windows 10 Professional.  Does anybody have any suggestions?

Are you opening the Main Menu of Quick Menu? It's the corner icon.  It has the Scan options.

Greetings,

Try uninstalling the program, restarting your system, then reinstalling.

I would visit the support portal for my printer and ensure that I have the latest version of the canon quick menu installer that's available.

I mentioned that I could not open the Quick Menu and that I reinstalled it.  I was able to solve the problem from what I read on here.  The Event Viewer was mentioned, but I did not know how to get into it.  After I found how to do that, I found the error for the Quick Menu executable (CNQMMAIN.EXE) under Windows logs\Application.  The file that was causing a problem was a NVIDIA graphics file.  I updated my graphic drivers and then Quick Menu was working again.

You could try checking if the Canon IJ Scan Utility is installed and working separately, as Quick Menu mainly acts as a launcher for Canon apps. Sometimes a Windows update or driver issue can break Quick Menu without showing an error. Uninstall all Canon software or drivers, restart the PC, then reinstall the latest package from Canon’s support site for your exact printer model.
