Hello,

I'm trying to connect the printer to the network using Canon print app on android phone. Following this video clip:

Canon PIXMA MG2920 - Cableless Setup with an Android™ device

The app let me connect to the printer's wifi, but next it displays "Failed to communicate with the printer". Help will be appreciated.

TIA

Effortlessly set up your Canon PIXMA MG2920 printer to print on a wireless network from an Android™ device. Visit the Canon website for more How-To Video tutorials. http://usa.canon.com/cusa/consumer/standard_display/howto?pageKeyCode=noLeftNavigation

Greetings,

The printer requires a 2.4 GHz broadcast that uses WPA2 encryption.

Does your network meet these requirements?

That's how it looks. 2.4GHz network, encription: WPA2 PSK (CCMP)

Greetings,

Are you using any VPN? VPN for Google by any chance.  If so please disable that, put the printer back into Wireless Setup mode and attempt to reconnect.

No VPN. Tried a second phone, same response. I also tried using Canon network device utility after connecting printer to USB, it doesn't see the printer. Installed Canon drivers which also doesn't see the USB printer. Kind of stuck here.
