Canon MG3650S - new port could not be created 0000 issue

Hi, 

I am trying to setup Canon MG3650S wireless printer software to my laptop (Windows 10) and I facing the error "new port could not be created 0000".

I have the install CR-ROM, but my laptop dont have a CR drive.... so I downloaded the install software (win-mg3600-1_0-mcd) from canon website.

During installtion it is giving me the error "new port could not be created 0000".

I tried to uninstall couple times, tried to download cnmnpu.exe, restarted couple times and its still not working.

can you please suggest me with a fix to get my printer setup.

Running this program is typically the solution.

Did you actually run it?

If not,  this will work:

Download this package:

https://www.canon.co.uk/support/consumer_products/products/fax__multifunctionals/inkjet/pixma_mg_ser...

Save it to your desktop.

Riight-click and rename the files extention from .exe to .zip

Open the zip and navigate to the LAN folder.

"CNMNPU.EXE is there.
