Reactivating an old printer

I have an old Pixma MP560  - which worked very well when I last used it several years ago.  I would like to know what I need to do in order to reactivate it without problems: I realiuze I need fresh ink;  is there any kind of technical clean-up work needed?  What about compatibility with Windows 10, and does it need new software, (firm software, drivers, etc)?

Greetings,

The MP-560 is supported under W10.

What you might have problems with:

Print head and ink delivery system.

If left to sit without use or maintenance, the system can clog.

If it were me, I'd remove the print head and soak / clean it out.  This has to be done with some care.

aftermarket inks are $15

canon inks about $50

Might want to test it with aftermarket ink to start since cleaning it doesn't guarantee it will work.
