Unidentified Image Error Message

ashleyzinhobl

When I view the pictures on my card that are on my SD card I am getting a message below the photo saying unidentified image. Some of them you can't see the preview of the photo either. Is there a way to fix this? When I upload them to my phone they come out with greyed out boxes on top or a lot of colors.

Hi, I have a powershot SX530 HS

Were all of the image files created by this cameras?  Have you stored or copied any files onto the memory card?

What brand, size, and type of memory card are you using?

Did you format it in the camera prior to first use?

Are you using a full size memory card or a micro SD card with an adapter?

Thanks for your help! It's a micro SD. The camera was the one who took all of the images. I didn't format it but they didn't do this right when I first took them. It happened after a while of them being stored on the SD card.

I'm trying to use a recovery software but I'm scared to pay the money for it not to work.

MicroSD's are bad Juju. Always use a full size card in the camera.
