I've followed the page 81 PDF instructions:
Raise the flash by endabling it from left
Only options on the lighting bolt (bottom right) is AUTO and OFF.
Note, the picture taking dial mode is set to "AUTO" but I need to enable some fill flash because subject is facing the sun.
I even charged and tried a different battery, but same results.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

Hi John,
The AUTO setting does not allow you to specifically set fill flash, but if you switch the mode dial to [P] you will keep your automatic shutter and aperture settings while still being able to set the flash to always fire using thsoe same instructions on page 81.

THANK YOU. I just couldn't find P Mode associated with flash settings in the manual. Works great now.
