I am going to purchase the SX50 filter adapter, and also a polarizer (the B+W Pro one, the thinner one - also will be used with my NIkon)
At this point i need a recommendation on a lens hood. I am okay with a rubber one, but any hood recommendation appreciated.
Obviously i need one that doesnt vignette especially at widest (24mm equiv)

I found one that will attach to your filter adapter and it also has a 67mm thread for the filters. I have a HS50 also, here is a link to it: <Link removed per forum guidelines>

Yes after you put on the 67mm. filter adapter you'll need one that grips to the main body, non-moving part of the lens assembly which I measured at 64.7 mm. It would also have to be adjustable for the different zoom lenghts. I never looked into that accessory but I have seen lens hoods with a threaded filter ring inside. Sorry I couldn't give you a specific model or part number.
