Camera has stopped down loading pictures to my Mac. Been fine in the past. Tried reloading start-up disc to no avail. Please help. B.J.

Many Mac users have been experiencing various communication issues after computers updated themselves.  Use a card reader, if your Mac doesn't already have a slot to read cards.

Also turn WiFi off in the camera, even if you are not using it.

Can't be WiFi the SX50 does not have WiFi

Have you tried a different cable?

I have the SX50 also and I always just remove the SD card and insert it in my computer.
