I have a SX540. I LOVE the zoom, it's the reason I bought the camera, The only problem is, when I zoom to the maximum, it's difficult to hold the camera steady. Should I be looking at a better camera with exchangeable lenses?
The other question I have is: we were recently on an Alaskan cruise and we got to see the Northern lights. We couldn't see the lights with our eyes but when I took a picture with the camera on my cellphone we could see it. When I took a picture with my SX540 there was just the night sky, as we see with our eyes. Why wouldn't my SX540 see the lights but the phone camera would, and what level camera do I need to be able to take pictures of the northern lights like my phone camera does?
