There is no setting on the camera which would cause this to happen. When you view the images on the card in the camera, do you see multiples of the same images then? That would indicate that you may have used continuous shooting to inadvertently take multiple shots while the shutter button is pressed. If not, then it is a software setting that you would need to look into for that issue.
