PowerShot S100 New camera help! - Screen shattered

Hi all- I have been using the canon powershot s100 for years, and unfortunately the screen shattered. I’ve tried numerous shops and no place can repair the screen. Should I try to repair it myself? Or Does anyone have any recs for a similar camera? I love the size / pictures. My budget is definitely under 300 dollars. Any input would help!

Yes, my wife loved her S-100, those were great cameras, but I think it is time to retire it.
