PowerShot G11 screen turns black and camera shuts down

hi can you help me identify the issue? canon G11

it opens and the lens was okay and clear but after a minute, it glitches and stucked up before the screen turns black and the camera shuts down without the lens closing. Can you please help?

Is your battery charged/charging?  What does the camera say?

Do you have another one? If not, get one.  Amazon has the Kastar brand, one of the more trustworthy ones.
