PowerShot G7 X Mark III Unable to update to firmware 1.4.0 via Canon Connect app

Got this notice that 1.4.0 update was available for my G7 X Mark iii. When updating to 1.3.2 I was able to do so in the Canon Connect app. SD card was reformatted via Format Card button on camera in June 2025. The option to update the Firmware isn’t popping up on the Canon Connect app at this time. I deleted and redownloaded the app and repaired the camera. Any suggestions? I don’t have an SD card reader with me at the moment.

v1.4.0 was released 11/20.  I would think it should be offered in the CC App by now.  Do you have another SD card you can test with?  Not formatting a card since June of this year..does this mean you are using your SD card for photo storage.  This is not recommended .  🤔  Try formatting the card again and reconnect the camera to the app.  Ensure you're logged in with your Canon ID and recheck for the firmware.
