PowerShot G7 X Mark II: I REALLY NEED HELP, Water Damage To Lens

I was recently in Florida with a couple friends taking photos on my canon Powershot g7x mark II when my friend was holding the camera a huge wave came by and got water underneath the lens somehow. I tried fixing it by taking the case around the shutter frames off, but ended up making it worse because now the frame pieces aren't working anymore and I don't know if it's fixable or cheaper to juts get a new camera. Please help, also let me know if there is a way to remove the water from underneath the lens.

You have my sympathies for your situation but the bad news is that once a camera has been immersed in water, particularly salt water, it is essentially dead - if not right away (as seems to be the case) but certainly over time.

I have seen this kind of thing before, and without exception it cannot be reversed.  Unfortunately, trying a do it yourself fix has made that even more certain.  Only a trained technician will have the experience, skills and gear to take a camera apart and attempt a fix, but I would be surprised if any would accept it as a project - certainly that is the case where I live.

The optics will eventually almost certainly develop fungus, which is a creeping death, and the circuitry, once immersed in water, will start to corrode, a process made faster by the salts in the water.  Even if you invest in trying to get it operational you can never trust this camera again.

I would suggest the best course of action is to put in an insurance claim and get a replacement.

These are stories we are sad to hear. Unfortunately accidents do happen.  If you don't have Care Pack coverage, your insurance deductible and time will exceed the cost to replace.  It's time to start looking for a new camera.
