I have this camera for years and I was able to take thousands of pictures until the other day; after I turned it off. It supposes to retract the lens and turn the camera off but it did not. I got a error messages saying "Lens Error. Will shut down automatically. Restart camera". I changed the battery as suggested with a new charged battery and turned the camera back on but it did not do anything new, it gave me the same error message and it did not retract/close the lens.
Have you got or hear about this problem before? Any suggestions on how to resolve it, it will be appreciated.
