I have 3 newer canon, but I retain this one. I don't believe the the compact flash 256 existed at the time the manual was created for this camera. However, I successfully used a 256 and wondered if there was the slightest chance anyone tried a 512. I have the underwater housing unit for this camera and it still takes awesome UW photos.
I don't want to take a chance of having major problems or video clips not coming out hence my question. Please don't suggest getting another camera, I am aware of that option.
Thank you kindly

Hi, Nat4000! This Canon classic from 2004 should be able to use CompactFlash Type I memory cards of any size. Hope this helps!
