Mobile Device Connect Button

Is it possible to disable the mobile device connect button on the SX700 HS?

Even if it involves opening the camera and removing the contact under the button, I would like this button disabled if possible.

There is no setting in the camera that allows you to disable the Mobile Device Connection Button on the PowerShot SX700 HS.
