Is this the G9 or G9x? If you look on Amazon for "Flipbac FBG2 Camera Grip for Point & Shoot Digital Cameras" you will find a grip that fits most digital point and shoot cameras. It uses a tape adhesive to hold onto the camera so you can remove it if it doesn't work for you. It should fit the G9x very well, not so sure it will fit the older G9 though.
