Lens error on PowerShot sx530 hs

Can you help me so I can use my camera again? I keep getting an error message saying Lens Error and camera will shut down.

A few month back my son was looking at my camera and I think he pushed the lens in rather than letting it move on its own. Since then, I am not able to turn on the camera or have the lens go back in its place.

If the camera worked fine before your son did his thing, then he damaged it by pushing the lens in.

You could ask Canon if it is still serviceable by them. The cost may well be more than the 10-year-old thing is worth.
