What kind of computer are you using, which operating system do you have? Also, have you downloaded the latest driver from Canon's support web site?

Hi - I have Windows 7(x64) and yes...I did download all the latest drivers but it didn't work. The error message still said "device not recognized".

Next thing then would be to ensure that your camera/USB device is installed correctly. Click here to view Microsoft's web page on this subject. After installing the USB device, restart your computer. See if that doesn't do the trick. If not, we can go from there.
