Computer not recognizing PowerShot SX740 HS for photo downloads

I just upgraded from Canon's Powershot SX700HS to SX740HS.  I want to continue downloading photos to my computer using Windows 10 (file explorer)..  I have a USB cord but my computer doesn't recognize the new camera.  What do I need to do?  Thanks for any help.

Turn off WiFi on the camera. You can't do USB with WiFi enabled.

Have another USB cable? 

Try another USB port on the computer.
