Does it use a memory card? If so, does your computer have a card reader? I find it is easier to just stick the memory card into the computer and do a real simple drag-and-drop from the memory card to a waiting empty photo file you have created for it. That is just so much simpler to control, and a faster upload, than connecting the camera to the computer with one of the provided cords.
