Do you have access to a laptop or desktop computer? Perhaps one or both of them have a card reader built-in. Just take the card out of the camera and download the images directly to your computer. Or get a USB card reader and download them that way.
Do the images have to be specifically downloaded to image.canon for some reason other than convenience? Canon has been experiencing some website woes as of late and it may be a while before you'll be able to access all of their various sites and services.
