I noticed the Canon Brower software only likes Java so that is not really a positive thought right out ,but looking at it you see it is slow and it only gathers pictures you've put out there but I don't know why. Now if you could remove them that wouldbe a real trick.

"hsbn" is correct. Just about every major editing package (PhotoShop, PaintShop, etc.) contains a "browser" that will connect to your camera and manage your images, and they usually do it faster and more efficiently than the browsers that come packaged with any of the cameras. If you do not want a full-fledged package, there are packages that contain just the browser for image management and simplified image correction software.
