Cannot download pictures from my G12 to latest Mac running OS X Yosemite.

Are you using a USB cable, card reader, or wifi to download? The PowerShot G12 uses an older USB standard so it might not be fast enough for the downloads. Are you trying to download RAW files or JPEGS, or both?

The solution to my problem was easy; My wife said "Why don't you just use the card reader". So I just used the card reader I didn't know we had in the first place. Problem solved.
