All,
I have been using the above software on my Mac Mini and PC for cataloging and processing. Recently I have a problem with the cataloging and losing my downloaded pictures on just the Mac. I download my pictures and then establish the catalog name to store the pictures. What is happening is once I have finished the name or hit enter the catalog name and the pictures disappear. On Wednesday I tried download pictures and the new entry into the catalog disappeared, but all of pictures in the entire catalog vanish. This is only occurring with the Mac and not the PC. I would appreciate any advice on recovery these pictures.

That tells you something doesn't it. It is not Lightroom. There is something going on with the Mac. I have been a LR users for as long as there has been LR and I never saw this. I would do a reinstall first.

Sounds logical doesn't it but all I can say if you do is, good luck.

Thank you very much for your suggestion to reinstall LRC. I lost all of my pictures on my Mac downloaded in LRC. That was very frustrating because they had been processed.
I copied and paste this information and downloaded on the LRC site at Adobe. No response as of now.

Reese I know how frustrating something like this can be. Since LR is working as it is expected to and should on your PC machine it has to be something to do with the Mac itself. A guess is you have a version of LR that is not compatible with the Mac OS you have. If you reinstall a new d/l from Adobe it should fix that issue if it was/is the issue.
A better thing is to contact Adobe instead of posting on their forum. However, be warned Adobe tech support is, well, let's say it could be better and leave it at that. Again, good luck.

I deleted that version of LRC last night after reading your response. Sounded like a great suggestion to me. I am going to do some research to see if there is a LRC just for Mac's or I may just use the PC. I have had good luck with the PC version.

All,
Using Lightroom Classic on my PC with Windows 11. Took some picture on Sunday and processed them that evening. I was going to post, but after exporting them I had difficulty finding them. I found the JPEG shots on the Desktop in an Unedited file.I clicked on one of them and the picture enlarged with Edit in top left hand corner. When I clicked on Edit the things that you could edit came appeared. I tried the edit software, but it was not as useful as LightRoom Classic.
I found the processed photos were I used Lightroom Classic in a file labeled Home-File Found.
