Like many in my "neighborhood" , I don't have a landline which means I no longer have fax capability.
I have never been wild about this machine: I have never been able to scan to a computer (and not for lack of trying), my son figured out how to scan to a usb drive and then load it, but that should be the backup, not the only way. The fax is very clunky even with a landline-- putting in addresses is like using 1st gen cell tech.
So I am at the point that I want something that can scan to/from my chromebook or cell in the other room and print or fax that gdocs. . I want full throated fax and scan from/to my chromebook or cell phone. If we're sophisticated enough to want these things, there must be a way! It should all be over the air. (PS I can print over the air from my Samsung Galaxy 5 just fine-- old school I know but I love android and I don't like my upgrade options. This is my 3rd one!)
Is there a software upgrade or is it headed to ebay?
