Hello,
I have:
Windows 2008 R2 domain controller + print manager
the clients are Windows 7 x64 and domain members
3 Canon printers
1 iPF710
1 iPF 770
1 iR-ADV C5051
And I want to deploy my printers through group policy.
All network printers are displayed at the clients with the right printing settings from my server.
If I create a custom paper size on the server for the iR-ADV, it is transfered to the clients.
Only the custom paper sizes of the iPF printers are not available at the clients.
I already investigated the problem and found out:
At the client, I can find my missing paper formats in the registry in the key
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Providers\Client Side Rendering Print Provider\Servers\SERVERNAME\Printers\{SOME-GUID}\DsDriver\printMediaSupported
But there is also a file on the server with my custom paper sizes:
C:\Windows\System32\spool\drivers\x64\3\GARO1\Canon iPF770\CNWW77JM.UDG
And this file is not transfered to the clients (both iPF710 and iPF770).
Why? Firewall? Access rights? ...?
Please help me
