I have a MF8580 Cdw desktop printer. It is low on magenta & yellow ink, but all I want is black & white copies.
I am getting red streaks on paper.
Do red steaks mean I have to replace the low cartridges?

Greetings,
Red streaks are not an indication of the need to replace cartridges with lower ink levels.
Without seeing what you are printing, we can only guess the cause. Might be abrasion settings. maybe the inside of the printer is dirty, or has a buildup of excess ink? Incorrect paper settings, using non-OEM cartridges, etc. Just some guesses. Maybe you can tell us more about what you are printing, paper type, etc?
