imageCLASS MF753Cdw - Can't save 802.1x password with special chars

I am trying to connect a new M753cdw to the WiFi in a rented office space.  The WiFi there uses WPA2 Enterprise (802.1x).  When I go into 802.1x settings on the printer it does not allow me to save any password that contains a special character.  Anything other an Upper/lower alpha, 0-9 causes an error and will not allow you to save the credentials.  I do not have access to the WiFi at this location as it is a rented office space.  I already asked the building staff if it is possible to create new creds without special chars and the answer was no.  They are required.

Any thoughts as to why I cannot save the password?

Hello,

The MF753 should be able to use a wifi password with special characters. If you are unable to save the password, it could be caused by a security setting, or the incorrect password is being entered.

We would be happy to assist, but we would need some additional information to assist further. You can reply to this message with the information below and we can provide some troubleshooting steps or suggestions. For a more immediate resolution I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents would be happy to assist.
If you do not have access to the router, you would not be able to try the WPS pushbutton method using the steps in the link HERE

1.When you try to save the password, do you get any specific errors or what happens?

2.Is the wifi security set to WPA2 or is it WPA3?
