Hello,
I have had a continuous problem of my computer not showing up when trying to scan from the physical printer. Other computers in my organization show up except mine. Somedays it shows up other days it doesn't. I would like to be able to scan multiple page documents to my computer. If I click the actual scan button from my computer it will scan the item in the printer and send it that way. I am also able to print so they are connected to the same network and the Canon recognizes the computer in other areas, just not scanning.

If the name of the computer appears sporadically, it could be caused by a network communications issue or the sleep settings set on the computer that you are trying to scan to. When you pull up the scan menu on the operation panel, the scanner pulls up a list of computer names that have the scanner software installed and is forwarding the computer's name. If the name of your PC does not appear, but other computers appear, the computer could not be forwarding its name, or the name can't reach the printer.
In this situation, I would suggest contacting support over the phone at 1-800-652-2666 and they can check the network environment to see what might be causing the issue.
