imageCLASS MF726Cdw scanning blank pages

Hello all, I have just updated firmware on my MF726Cdw that was printing, scanning.. without a glitch for years. Now after new firmware and updated drivers, the scanner (feeder and flatbed) is producing blank pages only. Thus far I was running the unit over WiFi, but even putting it on USB cable makes no difference. Any thoughts? All software removed, reinstalled, I even returned to older version of drivers, but all scans come in as bank white pages, whether JPG, or PDF.. I'm all out of things to try.. If I could only downgrade the firmware...

The issue might be caused by an issue with the hardware if the scan starts and you do not get an error on your computer. We would be happy to assist, but we would need some additional information to assist further. 1. What version of the Mac or Windows operating system are you using on your computer?

2. Are you able to copy from the glass or the feeder?

Produced pages were blank whether scanned, or copied. Scanning results were the same whether I used W11, W10 or W7 operating system. Issues started immediately after firmware upgrade. (I wish I didn't do f/w upgrade).
You are replying a year later. I used the device as printer for a few months hoping for help. Device is now in the landfill and I purchased new multifunction printer / scanner / copier / fax. It is NOT Canon. The f/w upgrade was clear planned obsolescence trick on me. "Loyal customer".
