imageCLASS MF656Cdw Trouble printing on cards

I have a Canon MF656cdw laser printer, and I need to print on 100 Christmas cards.  I have drafted a short message in Word, and can print exactly what I want on plain 8.5 X 11 paper.  But when I put cards in the printer, it just doesn't work.  Can anyone help me please?

I am having the same issue trying to print onto A5 paper, and it doesn't matter whether I use drawer 1 or the multi-purpose tray. Have you found any help?
