imageCLASS MF654Cdw Registration says printer not eligible for US service

I've been trying to register my color laserwriter Model Color ImageCLASS MF654Cdw. When I enter the SN i get an error telling me that the printer is not eligible for service in the US. The status monitor under device information identifies the SN that I entered. It was bought at a Best Buy store in Minnesota. I can't send a message to customer support to because I have to a registered product, but I can't register because the system rejects my serial number. Catch 22. Help please and thank you.

Oh no!
I recommend calling in again and say operator any time it asks for your product. After a few tries it should direct you to a call director who should be able to help further! 1-800-OK-CANON (1-800-652-2666) Monday to Friday, excluding holidays!
