I have a color imageclass mf642cdw that apparently will not detect the main paper tray. Even when I select that #1 paper tray on the computer's printing interface, it still doesn't see it. It's full of paper and I have pulled it out and put it back in multiple times. Also, it shows as empty on the display.

Thanks, but I've been all over that help page and I just go around in circles. There's no way to actually reach a tech support human.

Hi Chris3000, did you ever get an answer to your question? I'm having the same issue with an MF465dw

No, I have not. I can't reach Canon tech support. Our IT guy spent 30 minutes fidling with settings & firmware, and the problem still persists. I'm starting to think that the best solution is to just buy a non-canon printer.
