imageCLASS MF453dw ADF front panel 2 sided option missing

imageCLASS MF453dw with updated firmware as of 3/2/26, on its front panel does not show an option to scan from its automatic document feeder ADF as 2 sided or duplex. It does scan one side. Windows 11 scan software does show a checkbox for 2 sided scanning and when enabled on the computer, the ADF does scan 2 sides. But even then, scanning using the scanner's front panel only scans one side.

Greetings,

It's the same, but if you'd like to save to USB..

Insert your pen drive, Select Scan, Select USB Memory, Scroll down and select 2 sided (on), then Start (color or B&W).

Sorry for the poor image quality.

Greetings,

Please revisit the LCD screen.  Select the Send Settings menu tab.  Scroll down and look for 2-Sided original.  Change from off to on.

I do not see a Send Settings under the menu tab. There is Menu>Function Settings>Send>Scan and Send Settings but no 2-sided original parameter there.
I am actually not ‘sending’ the scan to a remote computer but generally just want to save (send?) to USB.

For Copy, there are a variety of 2-sided options on the lcd screen.

Oh wow! Now I do notice a thin narrow scroll bar on the far right edge that disappears after 3 seconds. So it may not be noticed, so you aren’t aware there are other parameters available.
Guess I need to start trying to scroll on every menu to see if other settings are available elsewhere as well.
Thanks for the reply.

Steve

Careful when flicking that scroll bar with your finger.  I almost always turn something on by mistake.  🤣

The entire screen is capacitive touch screen so you can touch and flick almost anywhere.

After a while you'll get used to it.  😉
