I just bought and installed a Canon MF3010. It works fine as far as printing, I also have an MF260 Series at another location.
My windows settings shows both printers/scanners. The MF260 shows the "Scanner settings" and was scannning OK.
The MF3010 does NOT show the "Scanner settings".
The help from Windows says: "Not all scanners are compatible with Windows protected print mode. To see if a scanner is compatible with Windows protected print mode, see Mopria certified products."
However, I do NOT have Windows Protected Mode.
When I start the windows Scan application, it finds the MF260, but not the MF3010.
What to do?

It seems only the print driver has been installed. Try download and install the full MF3010 scanner/MF Toolbox from Canon and the Windows scan should detect it.

Thanks. After downloading the driver AND removing the other printer, I could start the scanner.
