Help please! All of a sudden after working perfectly for 4 years, my unit stopped working. I scanned and printed 24hrs ago, went back to do a scan last night and nada. I can hear the scan start, but nothing in the progress bar. Rebooted the printer and computer (Windows 10), still nothing. Error messages 255,0,0 and 155,0.0, and 162,0,0 keep saying lack of communication (its wireless) but I can see it communicating with the printer (lights flash, etc). So I uninstalled the software intending to see if that helps, but now I can't get the software to download from the Canon site, here https://www.usa.canon.com/support/p/imageclass-mf264dw#idReference%3Dsoftware-drivers I click the box for Software and Drivers and nothing happens. My unit is registered with Canon, but the box at the bottom wants me to register it. I just need to get the software, how??? Thanks in advance. (Of course its the middle of the night and I have work to do!).

Good Moy,
The downloads for this device do appear to be missing from its support portal. I will notify the web services team.. It might take a day or so before this is resolved.

Thank you. I ended up doing a system restore going back 48hrs when it all worked. The printer icon returned to the desktop, as did the printing function, but still won't scan, now its says its missing the drivers. Hope this doesn't take too long. Do you know of any other sources? I don't even remember where the software came from in the first place, should I have DVD somewhere? Thanks.

Hello Rick and thanks for letting me know the updated file was now available (I can tell because the icons are now in color). I downloaded and installed it with no problem. But I still have the same problem that I had before: When I click the Document icon in the Scan software (see image with colored icons), I hear the gears move in the scanner and a light buzz, but then nothing. The scan progress bar doesn't move (2nd image), and the green light on the scanner is flashing, the orange error light is glowing, and the info window tells me to turn off the main power and try again (which I've done, including removing the power cord and also rebooting the computer). It doesn't matter if the document to be scanned is on the glass or the feeder, and the machine does print documents. After a few minutes an error message pops up with error code 110,0,0. So do you have any further suggestions? This literally happened overnight. One night it worked, next night it didn't. Thanks in advance.

Greetings,
The error message with the behavior you describe could be a hardware fault with the scanner. Are you able to scan from the printer's LCD? Also check your paper settings.

Hi Rick- I've looked and there is no paper jammed anywhere. I never tried scanning from the LCD but I just tried and it didn't work either (it makes all the sounds like its going to but then got the flashing green light and solid orange), but then I tried making a copy from the button on the LCD panel and it worked. So it seems the scanning mechanism works, yes? Just noticed this error message, but everything works except the actual scan - its definitely communicating. I'm using wireless, would installing a USB cable make a difference? Its not hard, they're close. (Its 3am here in Los Angeles, I've got to get to bed, looking forward to your reply tomorrow? Thanks)

Greetings,
When you click on the product name drop down in the MF scan utility, is there more than one listing (instance) for your device?
I'd stick with your wireless connection. There's no need to start using USB now.
Its good that you can copy from the LCD. When I mentioned paper settings I wasn't referring to a jam. Instead I was eluding to a paper size mis-match. This can happen if the paper scan settings don't match the paper source. You can look at this on the printer's LCD but it may be easier to do it in the remote UI.
That first error message you got is usually a hardware error, but the copy operation did complete. 🤔
Next step. Remove the printer from the printer and scanners dialog under Windows settings. Then visit the programs and features applet and uninstall the MF scan utility and printer driver.
Now restart your computer. Install the print driver that includes scan gear, then reinstall the MF scan utility. Once complete, restart the printer. Then retest printing and scanning again.

Hello Rick - As far as I can tell the paper settings are correct, and the 260 is the only device showing in the drop-down menu. Here's a screen shot of the devices under the windows/settings/devices/printers and scanners. I see an old Lexmark in there, I can remove that, but what other devices should I remove? I see the 260 in there twice btw. And I don't know why one of them says "1 document in queue". What do you suggest? Thanks
