imageCLASS MF242dw Scanner software will not open

I have a Canon MF240 UFRII LT printer/scanner.  I also have Windows 11.  I used to be able to click the shortcut to the software for this scanner in the tray at the bottom, but now it will not open.  If I click the up arrow near the clock, it shows it is running; however, I need it to open to tell it when a document is double sided and for other things.  I have uninstalled drivers and utilities and reinstalled and restated both the computer and the scanner. 

Any help is appreciated!

Are you able to print documents?

Select software and drivers, windows then windows 11.  

Install the following software in this order.

[Windows 64bit] MF242dw MFDrivers (UFR II / ScanGear)

Then

[Windows 32bit & 64bit] MF Scan Utility Ver.1.21.0.2

Now open Settings, Bluetooth and Printers, printers and remove your printer.  Close the dialog when complete.

Restart your Computer from the start menu.

After restart, press the start button and open the MF Scan Utility.  Ensure the the MF 242dw appears in the dialog box in the upper right hand corner.  You should be able to scan again.
