I print infrequently with my laser printer and would like to know if I should power it off for the few weeks between print jobs. Thank you.

Hi Jas7661,

Welcome to our Canon Forum!

There's nothing in our manual for the imageCLASS D570 that suggests you turn the printer off when not in use.  The printer is designed to automatically enter sleep mode after a period on inactivity. The sleep mode function reduces the amount of power consumed by the machine by disabling power flow to the operation panel. Turning the printer off for a few weeks in between print jobs will not harm the printer.
