Windows 10. Imageclass D550 went to "download mode USB available" yet again. This has happened several times over the years, usually when I have to power down the printer to do electrical work in my home. I have always gotten it up and running again but this time it's not happening. Canon will not take a support query from me as they say the printer is obsolete. I attempted to re-intall the original drivers from the CD-Rom, tried updating firmware from the Canon website and drivers, etc. but no luck. Tried the unplug for 10 minutes, a full day, etc. This is a good unit, works well and does NOT need to be replaced. I just need to get it running again. There has to be a way.
Any help on this issue? Thanks

Hello @chiro59,
Thank you for reaching out!
Please note that the imageCLASS D550 was retired in 2019. As a result, all official Canon support has ceased, and no new software or drivers will be developed.
To explore Canon's latest technologies, we recommend contacting our Canon Upgrade Program Specialists at 1-866-443-8002, available Monday through Friday.
We hope you have a great day!

The answer that is a non-answer. Planned obsolescence as its finest! In our throw it away world, I tend to refuse to refuse! I see no reason to toss this printer when it was working fine. Surely someone has a "fix" to get this thing up and running again.
Any OTHER 'help"?
