I just installed a new 054H Magenta cartridge in my Imageclass MF644cdw printer. The printer displays "data communication error". Looking closer I noticed the small green circuit board near the color indicator on the cartridge is missing! Canon Quality Control missed this one. I called the customer line and they said there is only a 30 day warranty and I must have a receipt. I bought this a few months ago and no longer have a receipt. This is a brand new but unusable product! A 30 day warranty is a joke. I prefer to buy cartridges well in advance so I have them when I need them. Canon should send me a return shipping label, so I can return this for a replacement.
