Hello.
Our printers will occasionally perform cleanings to keep the nozzles lubricated. These processes use small amounts of ink.
Also, the types of documents that you print can use more ink than others. Web-based items or PDF files usually require combinations of color inks to produce blacks or dark tones.
Changing the settings for Grayscale mode will help conserve your color inks when normal paper is used and duplex printing is not enabled.
