My printer will print for a diagnostic test but will not print a document. HELP!!!

My printer will not print any document. I ran a diagnostic test and my printer printed a test document. I tried again to print a document and the box opens in bottom right indicting "printer not responding." HELP!!!

Please tell us what version of Windows or Mac OSX is on your computer.  Also, tell us if the printer is being used wirelessly or with a direct USB connection.
