This did not resolve the problem for me. I am still getting the same error message. Someone indicated that it may be caused by refilling Canon ink cartridges? Is there a way to override this? If this is the case and the only option is to buy canon ink I will never buy another canon printer.

Same problem occured halfway through printing a page, been using genuine, new ink cartridges.
This process didn't fix it for me either. Worth a shot though.
Manual says to replace the printer head.
