I thought I had registered my printer back at the end of 2023 when I bought it (they even did an exchange), but when I go to my account it says there's no S/N available. So I took a picture of the label and put in what I thought was the S/N, but it won't take it. Is the number below the bar code the S/N? If not, then where?

I searched using your printer's serial number and was able to locate the warranty replacement in the tech support system. It doesn't appear that the updated serial number has been added to your Canon Account. Hello,
To protect your privacy, I redacted the serial number. If you log in at https://canon.us/account and you don't see the printer attached to your account, simply attach it to your account. It's the NTDA number under the barcode HERE is a diagram.

I had thought it must be, but when I put it in, it wasn't recognized.

Just a guess, but if the serial number contains a zero or O, be sure to use the proper one. These often look quite alike, though a zero should be slimmer. e.g. you can see the differences in the address portion of the label: "Ohta-ku" vs "8501"
