Scanning lid on Canon Color Imageclass MF8080Cw is stuck open

I was dusting this off after some construction in the office and it is now stuck open. I don't want to force it shut and break it!  See attached photo for current state!

If the lid will not close on the MF8080Cw, you can try removing the toner and while the lid is all the way up, you can check the hinge for any debris or obstructions. If the lid will not close while the toner is out, it looks like the printer needs service. You can check your support options by calling support at 1-800-652-2666 or logging into your MyCanon account.
