Can not figure out where this goes. Paper won't feed, says it has a paper jam and yet it doesn't.

Hard to tell what the piece does. I would call Canon Support and talk with a rep. The unit might need to go in for repair.

The image looks like one of the paper guides for the printer. I do not have any service manuals that I can provide for the printer but, you can contact our support team at 1-800-652-2666. Our agents can check if that is something that is easily reattached and can provide service options if it can't be.
