My printer (canon PIXMA MG2500) can't see refilled cartridges

I have refilled the black cartridge but my printer shows that the ink level is low. The printer is pretty new and there is no malfunctions or whatsoever.
I tried to reset the printer but nothing works. Is there any other suggestion that might work? What do i do?

Greetings,

I understand the desire to refill your own inks.  Unfortunately, not all re-fillable ink cartridges are created equally.  Some work and some don't.  You also typically need a chip re-programmer in order for the refilled cartridges to be detected properly.  The kits sold usually include all three.  (cartridge, programmer and inks).  You cannot just put ink into a cartridge and get it to work.  It has to be re-filled and reset before use.

Thanks for joining the conversation, theprinteruser1!

So that the Community can help you better, we need to know exactly which Canon printer model you're using within the PIXMA MG2500 series.  The model number should appear on the top of the printer just above the on/off button. That, and any other details you'd like to give will help the Community better understand your issue!

If this is a time-sensitive matter, click HERE search our knowledge base or find additional support options HERE.

Thanks and have a great day!
